CitySprint NewsNew appointment at CitySprintJuly 2008
Roy Bains has joined CitySprint as an Area Sales Executive (ASE) for the South Wales and Bristol region. He has considerable experience in the transport and logistics market having worked in the industry since leaving school. Roy said: “I have always worked in the transport and logistics industry and have built up considerable experience having worked for Business Post and, more recently, UK Today. In my previous role I was responsible for the Cardiff UK Today site. During my time there I was able to develop it from scratch to the 5th most successful UK Today location in the UK.” CitySprint’s ASEs are dynamic sales people employed to maximise business development opportunities for its network of 30+ ServiceCentres. Each ASE is responsible for all sales activities within a defined area and, as such, are highly motivated individuals who posses the professional acumen, drive and determination to deliver results. The ASEs report into one of a team of Regional Managers and also work closely with the National Sales team in order to maximise new business opportunities. Roy continued: “CitySprint has a very positive reputation in the industry and a company I was keen to work for. A position became available and I joined the market-leader in April 2008. Its network of ServiceCentres means that CitySprint operates on a local, as well as a national, basis enabling ASEs to play an important role in the business. We have considerable advantage over our competitors as are offering potential clients a comprehensive, flexible portfolio of services combined with market leading technology and support.” At a time when many companies are choosing to streamline their operations CitySprint remains committed to its regional network, the benefits it provides it customers and the positive contribution it makes to the local economy.
