CitySprint has launched a consolidated document delivery service aimed at clients in the Central London area. The newly launched service, 11_3_6, is targeted at customers who have a high volume of document deliveries which do not have a specific or urgent delivery deadline. This cost effective delivery option reduces the cost of delivery per package by as much as 50 per cent and is a totally carbon free method of delivery. Andrew Bernard, Chief Executive of CitySprint said: “The economic climate means that customers are increasingly cautious about expenditure and are looking for more cost effective methods. This often conflicts with their desire to be ‘environmentally friendly’ as the green options often carry a surcharge. Pickups are made three times a day, at 11am, 3pm and 6pm from the participating company’s Central London offices. The documents are then delivered to their destination, by pushbike courier, before the next delivery time (i.e. packages picked up at 11am will be delivered by 3pm, those collected at 3pm will be delivered by 6pm, and those collected at 6pm will be delivered by 11am the next day having being stored securely overnight). Clients do not need to book each collection. Once the service has been set up the packages will be collected from the pre-determined pick up point, such as the mailroom or reception, and delivered to their destination` Whilst the service has been designed with the 11am, 3pm and 6pm pick up times, clients can vary the collections to suit their needs. |
