CitySprint has been awarded the Year 2000 revision of the ISO 9001:2000 standard.
ISO is a network of the national standards institutes of 148 countries, on the basis of one member per country. The Year 2000 revision of the ISO 9001:2000 standard gave CitySprint the opportunity to further increase value to our activities and to improve performance continually by focusing on the major processes within the organisation.
ISO 9001:2000 is one of the world’s most widely known standards implemented by some 610,000 organisations in 160 countries. It is known as the international reference for quality management requirements in business to business dealings. |
CitySprint holds a variety of industry awards including Best UK Courier Service 2005 (presented by the Institute for Transport Management), the ‘4 Wheel” category in the 2006 and 2005 National Courier Awards, the ‘2 Wheel’ category and ‘Corporate Safety’ category in the 2004 in the National Courier Awards.
Previously CitySprint has received the Silver Award in the Royal Mail First Class Supplier Programme, awards for UK Courier Company, European Courier Company and the Customer Services and Four Wheel category in the National Courier Awards.
The Environment
CitySprint recognises the impact its business activities has on the environment and in order to minimise this impact has employed a number of comprehensive environmental activities. In order to ensure that these activities are properly deployed throughout CitySprint an environmental consultant has been employed. Their key tasks will be to implement the activities, ensure the high levels of standard are maintained and provide training, support and advice to staff on environmental topics.
